Dan's the Man at Guitar Unleashed 2008
Tamworth Country Music Festival 2008 saw the exciting continuation of the Blade Guitars Guitar Unleashed : Long Live the Lead Break on The Cutting Edge Stage upstairs at The Tudor Hotel in the XXXX Gold Room.
Held in the Upstairs Room of the Tudor Hotel over three nights, Long Live the Lead Break attracted the cream of guitarists in town for the festival.
With the XXXX Gold Room Sound System behind them, the guitarists let it rip during Heats One and Heats Two, leaving an awesome lineup for the final on Thursday night.
Guitarists included: Smokin' Joe Robinson * Terry Mandryk * Jon King * Dan Ebbels * and 8 Ball Aitken.
Special guest for the final was slick guitar chick Julz Parker, member of Hussy Hicks and a Blade endorsee.
The margin's between the top finalists were extremely close and the top two players even closer. However, a pumped up crowd saw Dan Ebbels of The Aaron Daniels Band walk away with the Levinson Blade Delta Electric Guitar. Dan also received a guest spot on the Blade Guitars Showcase which followed the final of Guitar Unleashed: Long Live the Lead Break.
Players taking part in the profiled Blade Guitars Showcase by invitation, were Julz Parker, Eight Ball Aitken, Colin Fox, Phil Emmanuel and Steve Flack of Guitar Heroes fame.
Guitar Unleashed: Long Live the Lead Break is such a hit with guitarists and the punters, major sponsor Cutting Edge Music and Blade Guitars are enthusiastically looking forward to doing it all again in 2009 at the Tamworth festival.
